We believe a well-designed home should fill you with joy and peace. It should feel warm, welcoming and deeply personal. It should be collected, not catalog. A beautiful reflection of the things that matter to your family, tailored to your exact needs and designed for your daily life.
Designed to delight
Betsy Hicks, Owner & Principal Designer
Betsy Hicks brings over 25 years of experience in textiles, fashion, and interior design to her work. Her passion for design began early, When she wasn’t painting, she was reimagining her bedroom or sewing garments in the perfect shade of French blue. That early creativity evolved into a formal education at The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a degree in Clothing and Textile Design before launching her career in New York City, including time in the fashion industry at Calvin Klein.
After returning to Austin, Betsy founded Betsy Hicks Interiors with a clear vision, to create homes that are both beautiful and highly functional. With deep expertise in art, textiles, and construction materials, she designs spaces that feel layered and thoughtfully collected rather than staged. Known for her love of color, bold prints, and mixing modern with vintage, Betsy creates interiors that are fresh, personal, and timeless.
Based in Austin, Betsy has been married to her husband for over 23 years and is a proud mother of three daughters. She is deeply committed to giving back to her community, actively supporting organizations such as Helping Hand Home, National Charity League, and Get Mad — often alongside her daughters. When she’s not immersed in design, you can find her on the tennis court, traveling with her family, or painting abstract landscapes.
Courtney Groves, Senior Associate Designer
Courtney Groves has always loved the process of turning a house into a home. After living abroad and setting up homes in Australia, she returned to Texas where she designed and built her family home in Westlake. Her eye for interiors is shaped by a wide range of experiences—from international travel to hands-on real estate work, and a belief that homes should feel personal, layered, and truly lived in.
Courtney began her career in politics and nonprofit advocacy, a background that sharpened her organizational skills and people-first perspective. Over the years, she has flipped several homes and built a portfolio of rental properties, including an Airbnb, giving her a practical understanding of how spaces function day to day. She draws on this experience to create interiors that balance beauty with comfort, durability, and ease.
Deeply connected to her community, Courtney is very involved in her church and philanthropic work. She has served as co-chair of the 2024 CASA of Travis County Gala and the 2025 Pop Up Birthday Gala, and volunteers with Manos de Cristo. Courtney attended the University of Texas, where she studied marketing. She is married to her favorite Aggie, Nate, and they have twin daughters. When she’s not designing or volunteering, Courtney can be found water skiing with her family on Lake McQueeney, traveling, or happily being her girls’ favorite Uber driver.
